Rose pink for Christmas - ‘Colour woman’ reveals divine Yuletide dress code
If anyone was still doubting that Christmas is creeping up on us, last week's surprise visit to the STAR offices by Eve Campbell should erase all doubt.
Known as Jamaica's very own 'colour woman', Campbell has made it a ritual to strut into the newsroom every year, delivering divine fashion directives straight from God Himself.
"God seh Him love di rose pink, so unu fi wear it!" Campbell declared with her trademark fire.
"Some man nuh like wear pink, but once the ganzie make like it belong to a man, dem will look good in it," she said.
The last time pink was included in the Christmas fashion directives, reportedly given by God to Campbell, was 2019. Then, she urged Jamaicans to wear pink and white for the Yuletide season, "because they are bright and beautiful".
The 77-year-old self-anointed prophetess, who has been blessing the nation with her Christmas colour revelations for over a decade, admitted she skipped last year's delivery -- but only because fate had other plans.
"God seh mi fi come this morning (Thursday). Mi did reluctant, but di Holy Spirit guide mi," she explained.
"Mi come last year, but no reporter did deh deh, so di colours - red, yellow, and blue stripe - never reach di nation.
"One and two person ask mi, but mi couldn't give them by mouth, because when mi get the message from God mi can't just drop it half way. Mi have to come to the STAR and make the whole nation get it before mi can talk it," Campbell said.
Meanwhile, as she gets ready for the Christmas holidays, Campbell revealed the one thing missing from her festive wish list: stacks of cash.
"Other than a peaceful holiday, mi want nuff money--$2 million woulda nice inna mi bank account," she said with a grin.
"Mi deserve it too, because mi a di bester warner woman, di Colour Queen. Nobody nah look out fi di preacher lady and mi using mi good gift free of cost," she said.
